A MESSAGE FROM OUR GENERAL MANAGER
Out and About
in Sunny Arabia

We are already halfway through 2018 and we see our calendar packed with groups with more to follow for the rest of the year. Thank you for being our partners in the ever-exciting industry of MICE.

With dedication and drive as part of our DNA, we are not one to rest on our laurels in the midst of success. In the last few months, we have travelled more than 80,000 kilometres around the world to meet with partners, catch up with longtime industry friends, and build new relationships. We’ve been to several cities in Poland, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States and more. Although we are represented well in every major region in the world, we make sure that we reach out personally to the people we work with—no matter where they are from.

We have a host of other trips lined up in the second half. You can catch us on The Meetings Show in London on June 27 – 28, where our Senior Project Manager Sandra Mannoni will be at Stand No. B400. We will also see you in Northern Ireland in June when we attend the Hosts Global Customer Forum and July will take us to St Petersburg in Russia. For the last quarter of the year I will be back at IMEX America on October 16 – 18. If you are coming to Abu Dhabi for the M&I Forum on October 7 – 10, we will be there, too! In between these major events, we also plan to fly again to Germany, the UK, as well as France.

While meeting all of you is one aspect of our commitment in our partnership with you, we also bring you this newsletter every quarter, to get your ‘creative juices’ flowing on the MICE possibilities in Arabia. Aside from updating you with the latest from the UAE and Oman, we love bringing fresh ideas to the table! We take the time and trouble to research lots of information and we don’t cut and paste news, we tell you what we think, what is our opinion, and in doing so, hope that is what you want to read. Please feel free to share with us any information you think we should include – we are also very good listeners.

For this issue, we talk about unique outdoor venues in Arabia that are seldom used for events, making them hidden gems of the destination. We also featured a number of extraordinary team activities, along with new restaurants, event spaces and flights!

Happy reading!

Warmest regards
from the land of the sand,
