A MESSAGE FROM OUR GENERAL MANAGER
Group transfers with a difference in Arabia
– why not?

The winter sun here in the United Arab Emirates and Oman is coming– and we can hardly wait to be back outdoors enjoying all that these wonderful destinations have to offer – sun, sand, sea and a million and one things to do…especially in cooler climes.

Such perfect weather simply makes everything feel so vibrant, shiny and exciting in our destinations. The desert turns into a wonderful venue and a magical backdrop for a gala dinner, simple BBQ’s and Bedouin feasts. The beach gets busier with fantastic island-themed events; sailing away whilst lapping up with sun on the Arabian Gulf; zip-lining, trekking, biking, and all other big outdoor adventures spring to action again; and of course, for us at Gulf Dunes – it’s a beautiful busy season!

We are ready and busy planning all the finer details that are required to make each and every event unique and successful. We also aim to have some fun along the way, too!

We would love to share our excitement with you, and what better way to do that than to give you a peek into our MICE insights and inspirations.

For starters, we’d like to talk about transfers and how one can make a statement by making it an extraordinary part of the entire experience—let’s stop thinking coaches.

Whilst often treated simply as a means of moving people from point A to B, we’ve rounded up a number of ‘alternative’ options that would add a few more magical moments to the programme. Thankfully, we operate in destinations that are home to many extraordinary things: from scenic chartered flights and seaplanes to Harley Davidson rides, we’ve got them all. Of course, regular coaches, buses, vans and luxury sedan cars will always be available, but they just seem to be the ‘easy’ option. It’s about time that we look at transfers differently. Perhaps you can consider some of our suggestions for your next group in the United Arab Emirates or Oman?

Also, we have a whole lot of other destination updates we believe you should know, such as the emergence of “hipster hotels” and how they can work for MICE groups.

There are many ways to stay ahead of our destination news and updates. Our quarterly newsletter definitely does just that, but you may also want to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, so you don’t miss anything!

We always welcome a bit more personal interaction. We can jump on a call to you or arrange a more personal face-to-face meeting via Zoom to discuss your needs. You can also meet with us at the many exhibitions we attend! I will be at the M&I Forum at the Yas Hotel Abu Dhabi from October 7 to 11 and at IMEX America in Las Vegas from October 16 to 18, 2018. At IMEX, you’ll find me either at Booth No. A4220 or at Hosts Global Booth No. C2836. Hope to see you all there!

Wishing you all a wonderful last quarter...

Warmest regards
from the land of the sand,
